Squirrels are common home invaders, taking up residency in an attic, soffit or home ventilation system.  Inspect your home periodically to make sure your home is free of gaps where squirrels can enter and make nests.  Once in, squirrels are difficult to get rid of, as they consider your home to now be their home.  Trapping, tunneling and exclusion are usually the only means of ridding your home of their presence.  After squirrels have been removed, exclusion is typically necessary to keep other squirrels from coming in and claiming a new home.  Call your Animal Doctor inspector for more information.

Groundhogs are a common outdoor nuisance.  Though not harmful to humans, they can surely do damage on even a well- protected garden or flower patch.  Groundhogs like to make their home under a deck, porch, shed, garage or burrow into the soft ground.  Trapping and relocating the animal is the best way to handle this pest.  Relocation of the groundhog to a natural wooded area that is not highly developed is best for both the home owner and the animal.  Contact an Animal Doctor inspector for more information.

Raccoons are nocturnal animals that are highly intelligent and can become quite the nuisance to humans.  Raccoons can become extremely aggressive when threatened, and if possible, should not be bothered by humans.  It is common for raccoons to make homes in attics, entering through an open or broken soffit.  Raccoons are also attracted to trash, so keep your area as clean as possible, so as to not attract theses scavengers.  Trapping and removing is best for this animal.

Skunks are nocturnal animals that live in wooded areas and do not usually have much contact with humans.  Sometimes however, skunks will make a home under a deck/porch, shed or garage.  It is not advisable to a homeowner to try to rid their home of a skunk without professional assistance.  When bothered, skunks will let out a foul spray on its predator, so you should contact your Animal Doctor professional for help.
